Marine Rescue Kioloa Volunteers 2016

Louise was elected Commander of MR Kioloa in 2012. Living in Kioloa Louise has contributed over 12 years of service to the Kioloa Base. Senior watch keeper at MRK Louise is also a qualified trainer and accrediter of new radio operators.
Peter joined MRK with his partner Judy in 2014 and is currently undertaking training for his radio license. His background in road haulage and the operation of heavy machinery is proving valuable in the launching and retrieval of the rescue vessel Kioloa 20.
Carol is an auxilliary member of MRK living most of her time in Kioloa. Carol is a dedicated fundraiser for Kioloa Base with a successful background in organising market days, catering, raffles and associated events at MRK.
Judy is an auxilliary member of MRK with a long association with the Base. Living in Kioloa Judy is a tireless volunteer and a dedicated fundraising at MRK.
Yvonne joined the Base in 2003 with her MRK Partner Harry. Yvonne is an auxilliary member of MRK and an enthusiastic fundraiser for the base. Yvonne is the recipient of a 10 year Service Award.
Having achieved his radio license and Crew rating, Lee is currently undergoing training for Coxswain.
Kal with his partner Kay joined MRK in 2014. In April 2016 Kal achieved his Crew rating and is now undergoing training for Coxswain.
As a new member of the team in August 2015, Mark has achieved his radio rating and has been given the title of IT Manager due to his knowledge of computer systems. Mark was recently given the title of Treasurer and also performs administration duties. He is constantly making efforts to modernise and upgrade the base to provide a better experience for all.
John joined MRK in April 2015. He has gained his radio license as well as his Crew rating, and is currently training for Coxswain ranking. John is also the Training Officer at the base as well as OH&S Officer.

Joan is Deputy Commander of MRK joining the Base in 2000. With her late husband Fred, a former Base Commander, Joan has served as the principal administrator of the base since this time. Joan's services to marine rescue, in all its manifestations over the past 16 years, is acknowledged in her recently receiving the National Medal. Joan lives in Bawley Point.
Judy joined MRK with her partner Peter in 2014. Since then Judy, as an auxilliary member of MRK, has assisted in a number of fundraising events.
Neil is a watch keeper, a qualified crewman and a crew member of the rescue vessel Kioloa 20 at MRK. Neil lives in Bawley Point and has been a volunteer with Kioloa Base since 2009. Neil is the recipient of a 5 Year Service award.
Partner of Bill Rowley, founder of Kioloa Base, Elsie has played a central role at Kioloa Base since its accreditation by RVCP in 1992. A fully qualified watch keeper Elsie was, until 2014, a 24 hour standby radio operator (Standby 3) for many years. Elsie has played a pivotal role in raising funds for the Kioloa Base, click here for the History page for details of Elsie's extensive contribution. Elsie, who retired from MRK on 16 March 2014 and the most longstanding member of MRK, is portrayed here wearing her National Medal which was presented at a ceremony at MRK in December 2014. Living at kioloa with his MRK partner Yvonne, Harry has been a volunteer with the Kioloa Base since 2003. Harry was a crew member of the RVCP life boat "Kioloa Rescue" and, until recently, a relieving launch assistant with the current Rescue Vessel Kioloa 20. Harry is the recipient of a 10 year Service Award.
Peter joined the RVCP in 1997 and possesses a Long Service Recognition Certificate for his contribution to marine rescue. Peter is a former qualified crewman on the rescue vessel Else and currently serves as a qualified watch keeper at MRK. Peter lives at Burrill Lake. Kay is an active participant in the fundraising team and her ever-present smile always lifts the spirits of those around her.

Loraine is a qualified radio officer at MRK and, with her MRK partner Wido, has been a member of MRK for over seven years. Although living in Batemans Bay. Loraine is an active volunteer and fundraiser at MRK.
